Mouthful Voices Summer Term 2024

Wednesdays 7-9 pm

Gosforth Civic Theatre, Regent Farm Road NE3 3HD

Term starts 17th April, Room and Zoom (in-person and online)

With an emphasis on having fun singing brilliant songs together, we sing songs from different folk traditions, as well as contemporary material and original compositions/arrangements. We enjoy making beautiful sounds together, including 'crunchy' harmonies and uplifting songs. Mouthful Voices is also a project choir for special events and performances. New members are absolutely and always welcome! You can ‘like’ and ‘share’ us on Facebook.

This term will be led by Bex and Dave.

Term dates (12 sessions):

April: 17th, 24th,

May: 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd (No session on the 29th May for 1/2 term)

June: 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th

July, 3rd, 10th (Performance Event)

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting (Meeting ID 831 2274 7003) including the password.

Fees

Fees are on a sliding scale based on your circumstances. This term we have 12 sessions.

If you would prefer to pay termly the fees are:

  • £30 + (in receipt of benefits)

  • £78 - £108 (all other circumstances pay what you can within this band)

Although having termly payments makes it a little easier for our team to budget for the term, if you need to, you can pay for each session when you attend. Weekly payments are set at £2.50 (upwards if in receipt of benefits) or £6.50 -n £9 (all other circumstances).

Don't let cost be a barrier - especially if you need some flexibility because of your current situation - we're happy to accept instalments, or offer sessions for free until you're back on your feet. We never ask for any proof of circumstance.

How to Pay

  1. Please pay by BACS to 'Harmony Associates' Co-op Bank account: Sort Code 08-92-99 Account No. 65559790. PLEASE quote your name (and MV) in your payment reference so we know who it’s from and what it’s for, and also send us an email to say you've paid so we can check we've received it ok.

  2. We can accept weekly payments in cash.

BT Web Protect

Some people with a BT Internet account have reported having occasional trouble with the link, because it’s password protected. The BT Web Protect feature can sometimes block sites. You can find instructions on how to turn it off here.

Keeping Everyone Safe

Covid-19, unfortunately, has not ‘gone away’, and we must continue to look after ourselves and each other to avoid the spread of the virus and reduce the impact it can have on our day-to-day lives. We must still work together to minimise risk. Please don’t attend sessions if you have any Covid or respiratory /cold-like symptoms, have knowingly been a ‘close contact’ or have tested positive.
